The E-Commerce module is used for managing orders which come from the Internet or via E-mail. In addition, it can be used to select which items are to be sold on the Interenet.
The orders can come into XAL in 3 ways:
E-Order receipt
E-mails are received with purchase orders. A customer can print out their purchase requisition as an E-mail if they run XAL. Other E-mails can also be imported if they follow the template which is defined in XAL.
E-Shop
An Internet shop which is not run by XAL, but rather by an independent service provider. The service provider sends E-mails with the order information from the shop.
E-Business
The company has its own Internet server which supplies information directly to XAL from XAL’s Internet solution.
